About Us

The PDF presents this page as a parish history and leadership overview. This template recreates that structure so the content can live as a WordPress page instead of a static design file.

Our History

The Mexican community in Indiana grew after World War I and eventually established their own parish with Father Octavio Zavatto. Our Lady of Guadalupe Church was founded in 1927 and has been served by different religious orders over the years. Despite challenges like fires and the COVID-19 pandemic, the parish has maintained a strong Marian devotion. Since 2022, Father Diego Florez has been the current pastor.

Mission & Vision

To foster a faith community committed to the Church's mission; to encourage each person to reach communion and intimacy with Jesus Christ; and to guide toward the love of the Father in the Holy Spirit.

Our parish aspires to be a community of missionary disciples who joyfully receive, live, and share Jesus Christ while following the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Our Patroness: Virgin of Guadalupe

Our Lady of Guadalupe is the Virgin Mary who appeared in Mexico in 1531 to Saint Juan Diego. She is revered as a powerful symbol of love, protection, and unity for millions of faithful, particularly throughout Latin America.
